Ugborikoko Community Food Support Initiative 2026

In response to growing economic challenges affecting vulnerable households, the Moel Idu Foundation delivered essential food assistance and cash support through the Ugborikoko Community Food Support Initiative 2026, reaching 100 families in Ugborikoko Community, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. The initiative was designed to strengthen household food security and help families navigate the impact of rising living costs.

Working in collaboration with community leaders, the Foundation identified households most in need to ensure support was delivered fairly, transparently, and with respect for the dignity of every family.

Each beneficiary household received a carefully prepared package containing rice, garri, noodles, spaghetti, vegetable oil, cornflakes, seasoning cubes, tomato products, and other essential food items. In addition, cash support was provided to help families address immediate household priorities and ease short-term financial pressures.

The initiative directly supported 100 families, with an estimated reach of approximately 400 individuals. By combining food assistance with financial support, the Foundation helped improve household food security, ease immediate hardship, and reinforce its commitment to building healthier and more resilient communities.
